Olav Stubberud – Photographer, Oslo

Olav come from a place just outside Oslo, Norway. He first picked up a camera at the age of 12. Only a year later he took his first snowboard photo, and got his first photo published in a major publication. And already have 8 years as photography as his profession at the age of 24.

By the time he had finished elementary school and was starting junior high, Olav Stubberud was traveling all over the world shooting snowboarding, but displaying a reflective array of styles. He quickly became known in the snowboard industry, and at the age of 17 he was nominated as Photographer of the Year, and at the age of 19 he won Picture of the Year at the Norwegian Snowboard Awards, making him the youngest winner ever of this award. Two years later he also won Video of the Year with his childhood crew RK1 (read more here), this made him the only one holding two awards in both video and photo. He then continued working with the biggest profiles and clients in the snowboard world.

From a desire to expand and challenge him self, Olav began working with musicians and artists. He shot the first ever press photos of Kygo, which was the start of being Kygo’s trusted photographer for 3 years. Now you see him working with artists such as Justin Bieber, G-eazy, Snoop dogg, Kygo, Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Jaden Smith, Steve Aoki, Bebe Rexa, Zara Larsson, Dillon Francis, Alesso, iLoveMakonnen and many more.It-boy and go-to-photographer Olav Stubberud is now the Nobel
Peace Prize photographer, going in for the 3rd year in the team.
